Theo’s Training Logbook Pages

Rich has scanned all the pages of Theo’s logbook.

This is the training logbook. I am posting them so researchers can view them.

This first page is interesting because every stage is described.

6 October 1941 Started Flying Training…

On this page we find out that Theo failed a test on November 25th, 1941. He failed to find the wind. I wonder if Theo can recall this.

For the rest of the training logbook every flight is entered.

Date, Flight From, Flight To, Aircraft Make and Model…

Each flight was an adventure in itself and each flight was dangerous for any young cadet. Theo must have a lot of stories to tell us about his training days.

While doing a little Web searching for a picture of a PT-17 in Americus, Georgia, I stumbled on this site… and this picture.
